Facebook Introduced A new feature Called Instant Video
It has come to our notice that facebook team has added to its messenger application a new feature called Instant video which enables you to share live activities with your facebook friends.
According to techradar , Instant Video works in a way similar to Snapchat's video chat feature . Facebook Messenger already has a video chat feature but Instant Video aims to get us to share tidbits of our lives instead of having a full conversation.
"Instant Video is a reflection of the ubiquity of video — we simply expect to have that ability in real-time, all the time," writes Facebook in a blog post . "With Instant Video, you can bring your conversations to life in the most authentic way — seamlessly and instantly."
To use Instant Video, you and your friend have to have your chat open in the Facebook Messenger app. Only then will the video button pulse, letting you know you can start an Instant Video. By default, videos show up in a window without sound, but can be enabled with a tap. Users can choose to enable their camera to show their reaction.
Instant Video is just one of the many features that Facebook hopes will hook its users from going to another chat app besides WhatsApp, which is owned by the company. Collectively, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp have about 2 billion active users, showing Facebook's dominance in the segment. For comparison, Snapchat has 150 million active user.
