YouTube Go beta for Android with offline video viewing and sharing now available
Google announced YouTube Go app with offline viewing and sharing of videos back in September last year on its its 18th birthday. Today it has finally released the beta version of the app in India. The app has 8 Indian languages – Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu,Kannada, Gujarati and Malayalam or you can choose English.
It asks for your mobile number and your email id. Google says that this is necessary since people in your contact can connect with you on YouTube Go and other Google services. Once you verify your number with OTP, you can use the app.
There are only two video quality options basic or standard. The basic quality is 1/10th of the size of the standard resolution so the basic might be less than 144p. High resolution option could be enabled soon. Google says that the app might have bugs since it is still in beta.
