How To Backup Template and Content in Blogger?

First, let’s see…

Step 1: Go to blogger.com and login to your account.

Step 2: Select the blog for which you want to take the backup.

Step 3: Click on “Template” from the left sidebar.

Step 4: Now click on Backup/Restore button displaying on the top right portion of the screen.

Step 5: Now click on “Download full template” button.

That’s it. You can see a file gets downloaded, which is in .xmlformat. It contains all your appearance based settings.

You can use this XML file to restore your design in case anything is ruined.

Now, you are going to know how to backup all the posts of your Blogger blog.

The above process backs up your design only. But that’s not the only thing you should take care of.

So in this section, I am going to walk you through the steps needed to take backups of all the posts of your blogger blog.

Step 1: Go to Settings >> Other.

Step 2: Under Import & backup, you can see a button named Backup content. Just click on it.

Step 3: Now click on “Save to your computer” button and all of your blog posts will get saved to your computer in XML format.

You can use this file to either restore your blog anytime or to move your blog to WordPress.
